A spacious new showroom featuring full luxury kitchens and a well-appointed design studio
earned Bluebell Fine Cabinetry & Design top honors in the 2024 NKBA | KBIS Innovative
Showroom Awards at the National Kitchen + Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.
Bluebell FCD’s winning entry in the Traditional Independent Multi-brand/Product Showroom
(5000+sf) category was designed by Peter Cardamone, founder and principal designer of the
company he started nearly 35 years ago. The new showroom and design center opened in June 2023 at 200 West Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, Pa., next door to the company’s first Main Line showroom and design studio.
“When we take people through our complete luxury showroom kitchens, we give them a chance to experience how a variety of design elements and products contribute to a whole purpose-driven space.”
“When we take people through our complete luxury showroom kitchens, we give them a
chance to experience how a variety of design elements and products contribute to a whole
purpose-driven space,” says Cardamone. “Partial kitchen ‘samples’ don’t do that.”
Innovative showroom presents the latest trends in materials, products, technology and heart-of-home solutions.
Bluebell FCD’s six immersive traditional, transitional and modern displays include four complete custom luxury kitchens, an innovative bar set up and a dedicated high-tech “beverage pantry.” The array of exotic materials in real applications was one of the elements that made the showroom stand out for judges, along with the use of integrated technology and luxuries like built-in coffee systems, workstations and wine dispensers.
The new, expanded design studio includes two state-of-the-art conference areas including AI-
integrated video conferencing for client meetings and a design library/meeting space featuring adjustable lighting to show clients how materials look under various light temperatures.
“Even better, Bluebell’s incredible craftsmanship is evident throughout the showroom,” says
Cardamone. “The precision installation you see here is every bit as meticulous as every kitchen
we create for a client, whether it’s for a new custom build or working with the challenges common to an existing or even historic home. The quality of materials and products, of fit and finish—what you see here is what you get in every Bluebell FCD kitchen.”
KBIS’s Innovative Showroom Awards recognize the best of the best from across the country.
The Innovative Showroom Awards honor the companies that excel across the entire showroom sales spectrum. These firms work with trade professionals, including interior designers, architects and builders, and directly with consumers to provide an outstanding showroom experience. The winners of this year’s competition were chosen for the inspiring and informative environments they provide to showcase innovation in design, technology and materials for their clients and professional partners. Each firm is also recognized for providing outstanding customer service and representing the integrity of the industry.
This year, 10 showrooms earned top honors in 5 categories. Judging this year’s competition were three showroom experts: Janine Flamer, Marketing Director for Poggenpohl North America; Agha Mo, Pro Services Manager at Floor & Decor Design Studio; and Taylor Walker, Kitchen and Bath Designer at Greenbrook Design & Walker Woodworking.
The largest trade show worldwide for the kitchen and bath industry, NKBA | KBIS attracts thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors every year. They gather to learn, network, exchange ideas and showcase new products and services. This year’s show was held February 27-29 in Las Vegas.
